[SMM Hydrogen Policy Express] Ministry of Transport Releases "Technical Specifications for Road Transport of Hydrogen (Including Liquid Hydrogen)"

On September 15, the Ministry of Transport issued an announcement regarding the release of seven industry standards, including the "Technical Specifications for Road Transport of Hydrogen (Including Liquid Hydrogen)".

These include the Technical Specifications for Road Transport of Hydrogen (Including Liquid Hydrogen), which stipulate the equipment conditions and requirements for the transport, parking, and emergency response of hydrogen UN1049 (including liquid hydrogen UN1966) during road transport. The standard applies to the road transport of hydrogen (including liquid hydrogen) using equipment such as long tube trailers, tank trucks, tube bundle containers, and tank containers, but does not apply to the road transport of hydrogen using bulk gas cylinders, vertical cluster devices, container basket devices, or solid-state hydrogen storage systems. The implementation date is March 1, 2026, and the standard number is JT/T 1568-2025.
